my week.

Baby shower invitations got sent out today!! YAY!!! Im so excited for it, I know it's not the normal tradition of things but have made a bunch of stuff for my baby shower & I can't wait to see it all put together! :D Im addicted to party planning so I couldn't help get my fingers sticky with my own baby shower.. My family doesn't seem to mind tho, they know how I am when it comes to part planning & my obsessions :D

I am 26 weeks today!! Only 14 more weeks to go now & the anxiety is already Starting to set in!! I think once I get the nursery finished & I have everything I need from the baby shower ill feel alot better about everything. Even tho he wont be sleeping in his nursery for awhile it's still nice to know im ready for our little guy. My crafts & baking are on over drive this week... haha well more like all month but My hands are always doing something & im loving it!! My birthday is in June & I told Spencer I really want a sewing machine so I don't have to go over to my grandma's every time I find a new project, even tho I know she enjoys the company it's nice to be able to be home and crafting away :D Im hoping maybe he will give it me a little early tho like for mothers day.. HINT HINT :D :D :D I just have so many projects I want to make & I think keeping me busy helps keep my nerves & anxiety to a minimum.. so ill keep you posted on that one.

SO CUTE!!! Ill probably make several for him to be honest haha. I also am making my niece a tutu for her birthday with a little cupcake onsie I have sewn & of course a big flower bow to top it off!! These are just a couple of my projects for the week... ill post pictures & how to's of the finished projects once there finished!

California!!

Here are a few pictures from our trip to California last week!! It was absolutely beautiful the whole weekend, we had a blast!! :D

The first night there we were exhausted so we checked into our hotel, ordered a pizza & took a relaxing bubble bath in our jacuzzi queen tub :D Day 2 we went for a walk on the beach down to the shopping center about 5 or 6 miles away I might add which was totally worth it because I LOVE shopping!! About half way back to the hotel tho I was done walking & just wanted to get off my poor prego feet. We spent the next day lounging at the beach for a few hours, just relaxing & enjoying the sunshine. It was SO nice & relaxing!! After we realized we were burnt we decided to head back to the hotel & rest for a bit before we went to a really yummy Italian restaurant just down the street. Our last day there Spencer had to have Gina's pizza before we left so we grabbed a quick yummy bite & off we went for home. Just a really calm relaxing weekend for us was just what we both needed!!

two years!

This Sunday (April 10, 2011) marks our two year wedding anniversary!!
This year we decided to go to Californiaaaaa :D Ahh im so excited!! We are staying at this beautiful inn right off Laguna Beach, it's in my opinion the most beautiful beach there. I can't wait for the sun rays!! 

I can't belive how fast life passes by.. I feel like just months ago we were two 16 year old love struck kids & now we are happily married expecting our first little one. I am so blessed to have found my soul-mate, my best friend, my husband, & the father to our beautiful baby... I don't know how I was ever complete without him in my life. I love you Spencer, you are my everything.





 

Nursey.

 I also wanted to show off a little of Taven's nursey... My grandma & I are making his bedding because I wanted something different and I just didn't really love anything pre-made so we decided to have a little fun!! :D

I ran across this fabric at www.fatquartershop.com & fell in love!! Fat quarter shop has TONS of adorable fabric at a great prices but, this set I just couldn't resist!! So we now have a sock monkey themed nursery & we both love it! I didn't want to go over bored with the sock monkeys tho so I added a little bit of vintage style in there as well... so far I have made him these cute little wooden cars & choo choo train. I also decided to do a framed picture collage with both big & small frames. In the smaller frames (5x7) I had a friend sticker print this little tricycle, airplane, & car outline for me. SO CUTE!!

 

 

I will post the finished work when we have it all together! Im so excited to have it all done & ready for him.. even tho he wont be sleeping in there for awhile :D

Catching up.

Last picture uploaded @ 19 weeks when my belly finally popped out. I am almost 24 weeks pregnant now with our adorable baby boy Taven & ALOT bigger!! I will post pictures of my belly bump progress as I go so you can see how big our little man is getting. Only 4 more months to go!! I can't wait to finally hold him in my arms and nibble on his little toes!! Spencer has had the nursery set up for months now & walking past it everyday almost brings me to tears... it's still hard to believe we are going to be PARENTS!! I think im over the initial shock & anxiety of it all but just the thought of him gives me butterflies in my tummy. :D I can't wait!!
